Developing this logic further, benefits are only of use if they satisfy a need that the user feels.
For example:
OpenOffice.org is multi-platform (feature)
this means users are not 'locked in' further to their current computing platform (benefit)
but this is of no interest if they have no intention of ever changing their PC(no need).
